Collection Host Volunteer – Newcastle & Gateshead

Collection Host

You will be the friendly face that keeps everything running smoothly at busy locations like supermarkets, train stations, high streets and shopping centres. You’ll support our volunteer collectors, inspire generosity from the public, and help raise vital funds for Marie Curie services.

Your impact truly matters. In 2024-2025, our Fundraising Groups raised £2.3 million for Marie Curie.

Availability

4 hours at various points of the year – flexible to suit your schedule.

Locations

Byker, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Criteria

Aged 18 or over.

What you’ll do

• Be present on‑site during collection days.
• Welcome volunteers, help them feel confident and ready.
• Keep things organised and positive.
• Encourage public support and kindness.
• Help recruit new collectors.
• Thank volunteers, secure donations and assist with banking.
