Overview
Our Lady’s Catholic High School is a highly successful 11–16 mixed High School with 900 pupils. The Governors are seeking to appoint cleaners to work under the direction of the cleaning supervisor, carrying out cleaning duties to keep the school premises clean and hygienic.
Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning of designated areas within the school premises.
Qualifications
- Experience of working as a cleaner.
- Experience using powered equipment such as a floor buffer.
Candidate must be legally entitled to work in the UK and must comply with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended 2013) and will need to obtain a Disclosure and Barring Service clearance.
Working Hours and Conditions
Term time only, 12 hours per week plus 5 INSET days and 3 cleaning weeks. Working hours are:
- Monday‑Thursday 6:00 am‑8:30 am and Friday 6:00 am‑8:00 am
- Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 3:00 pm‑5:30 pm, Tuesday 2:30 pm‑5:00 pm and Friday 3:00 pm‑5:00 pm
Pay and Benefits
Paid at the Foundation Living Wage. Additional benefits include 5 INSET days and 3 cleaning weeks.

Rehabilitation of Offenders
