About The Role
We are seeking to recruit a Sub Agent to join our Structures team based at our Southam Site.
As a Sub Agent, you will assist with the construction strategy, including kick‑off meetings, pre‑commencement documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, Construction programmes, procurement and design deliverable schedules.
This position will liaise with the Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, materials, and temporary works to carry out the activities to the required standards, programme and budget. The Sub Agent will also manage the site engineering team and be responsible for the performance and development of site and Section Engineers.
Assisting with the coordination of construction operations, ensuring they conform to the contract requirements and the required level of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) is a key part of this role.
This position will also assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting, site measurement, material reconciliations and cost control.
About You
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
- Previous experience in large scale structures work is essential.
- Good team skills.
- Must hold a full UK driver’s licence and have access to your own vehicle.
- SMSTS.
- Valid CSCS card, either Black, Gold, White, White/Yellow, Red Experienced or Red Provisional (6 months).
About Us
EKFB has been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high‑speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope includes 15 viaducts, 5km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 67 overbridges and around 30 million cubic metres of excavation.
