Industrial Cleaner
Location: Kemsley Mill, Sittingbourne
Salary: £13.45 per hour
Job type: Full time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

The Role
The main purpose of the Industrial Cleaner is to ensure a consistently high standard of office cleaning across all three floors, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for everyone. This includes regular cleaning tasks and attention to detail in every area of the office. The role is physically demanding and involves manual tasks.
Responsibilities
- General cleaning of commercial production facilities including frameworks, walls, walkways and platforms
- Check and empty bins and ensure all bins are allocated as per Paper Mill requirements
- Keep the site clean and tidy in accordance with a fixed schedule of duties
- Use high‑pressure water cleaning equipment
- Assist with the general operation as required, including cleaning of framework, walls, walkways and platforms
- Removal of any loose broken paper within the basement area
- Dust, vacuum and use floor scrubbers at machine level
- Clear any site spillages and undertake deep cleans as required
- Work in confined spaces
- Work at height
- Operate site cranes
- Operate Bobcat and Forklift
- Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures, including the Employee Handbook, Health and Safety Policy, EMS System, IMS System and any financial systems
- Maintain awareness of health and safety responsibilities, wearing correct PPE at all times; manual job requiring appropriate level of fitness

Eligible candidates with experience as Heavy‑Duty Cleaner, Industrial Degreaser, Commercial Cleaner, Facility Maintenance Cleaner, Production Cleaning Operative, Industrial Cleaning Operative or Industrial Cleaning Agent will also be considered for this role.
