Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer (3602955) North Lincolnshire, England

Salary: £51,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Days and Nights.

You will be doing reactive and preventative maintenance on various machinery and implementing continuous improvement to keep production running.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs across electrical and mechanical systems to minimise production downtime
• Take a hands‑on approach in both scheduled maintenance and immediate breakdown response
• Maintain, optimise, and repair a range of equipment including slicing systems, seasoning units, conveyors, and automated packaging lines
• Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives to increase machine efficiency and reduce unplanned stoppages
• Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure smooth running of equipment and minimal disruption
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and internal maintenance procedures at all times

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong hands‑on experience working with both electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing or production setting
• Relevant engineering qualification – such as NVQ Level 3, BTEC, HNC/HND or equivalent apprenticeship
• Experience in a similar role such as multi‑skilled engineer, shift engineer, shift technician, engineering technician, electrical maintenance engineer
• Practical knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting automated machinery – particularly in packaging or food processing environments (preferred but not essential)
• Confidence in reacting to breakdowns as well as carrying out preventative maintenance tasks
