Job Description:

We are looking for a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join our growing team of a very well-established hire company that supply a wide range of tools and access equipment to the M&E sector. This role is focused on maximising revenue and profitability by identifying, developing, and managing key accounts, projects, and prospects, developing relationships with Tier 1 mechanical contractors, principal contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a strong track record in the M&E or construction sector who thrives on winning new business and building long-term customer partnerships.

  • Build relationships with principal contractors and regional/national subcontractors
  • Identify and target major regional projects and opportunities
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams and build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across customers and projects
  • Develop strong technical and commercial knowledge of products and relevant legislation
  • Deliver product demonstrations and present innovative and compliant solutions

Skills & Experience Required

  • 2 years field sales experience within M&E, construction, or related sectors
  • Demonstrated success in winning and delivering new business revenue growth
  • Strong evidence of developing major accounts from prospecting and negotiation to delivery
  • Experience developing relationships at project and contractor level
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to overcome objections and drive opportunities forward
