General manual machinist opportunity in a busy expanding aviation repair workshop. You will use a range of machinery including lathes, mills, jig borers and grinders to perform repairs to customer equipment in accordance with order requirements and approved technical data. This is a hands‑on role for a detail‑focused individual who takes pride in producing high‑quality, accurate work.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, mills, jig borers, grinders and other machine tools to carry out repairs and manufacturing tasks
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and approved technical data to meet order requirements
• Measure and inspect components using verniers, micrometers, dial indicators and other precision instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality
• Complete machining, finishing and repair operations to required tolerances and surface finishes
• Maintain accurate job records, test reports and documentation as required by the order
• Carry out routine maintenance and safe operation checks on machinery and tooling
• Identify and report issues, suggest improvements and collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical problems
• Comply with health, safety and quality procedures and contribute to a clean, organised workshop environment
