Job Description:

Social Worker – Locality

Salary: £36,124 – £40,446 for newly qualified social workers with less than 2 years’ experience; £38,626 – £43,693 for experienced social workers with over 2 years’ experience. Car user allowance and reimbursement of Social Work England fees are provided. 37 hours per week, full time, hybrid (Stockport Civic Complex and home working).

Responsibilities

  • Support families from first assessment through to the end of care proceedings.
  • Build strong relationships and ensure the voices of children and young people are central in practice.
  • Identify children’s and young people’s needs, assessing risks and developing effective care plans that create lasting change.
  • Collaborate with specialist services (e.g., IROs, Aspire, disability team) to obtain expert advice and support.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Newly qualified social workers with less than 2 years of experience.
  • Experienced social workers with more than 2 years’ experience.
  • Commitment to learning and professional development; a willingness to share knowledge with team members.
