We are recruiting for a Home Manager to oversee a well-established small residential service in Bury, providing 24-hour care and support to working age adults with mental health needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed care professional who is dedicated to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred support while leading and developing a motivated staff team.
About the Role
As Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and operational performance are maintained. You will lead by example, creating a positive and supportive environment for both residents and staff, whilst promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for those in your care.
Key responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the home
- Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation
- Leading, motivating, and developing the staff team
- Managing staffing levels, rotas, and recruitment
- Maintaining high standards of care and support delivery
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
- Managing budgets and ensuring the service operates efficiently
- Participating in the on-call rota on alternate weekends
About You
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Home Manager within a residential care setting
- Ideally have experience supporting adults with mental health needs
- A strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or a willingness to work towards achieving the qualification
- A passion for delivering outstanding person‑centred care
