Bank Enabling Support Worker

Location: Children and Young Peoples Service

Salary: A£12.75 per hour

Hours Per Week: Bank

This role is part‑time only; full‑time hours are not available.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

We are looking for people with the passion, talent, skills and experience that all add up to a caring and community‑minded workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Helping with daily routines such as meal times, personal care and bedtime.
  • Community access (cinema, youth clubs, sports clubs, swimming, park, beach, etc.).
  • Assisting parents/carers with household tasks: preparing meals, laundry, general cleaning.
  • Planning activities and games: arts and crafts, reading, board games.
  • Supporting children to learn new skills and increase independence (bus, shopping trips, managing money).

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special educational needs.
  • Experience as a support worker, childcare worker or teaching assistant.
  • Passion for working with children and families.
  • Active and adaptable in different environments and with diverse people.
  • Friendly, warm and fun.
  • Desire to develop and progress in career and make a difference to children and young people with disabilities.
