Position: SEN Support Assistant
Location: Reading
Start Date: September 2026
Pay Scale: £90.00 – £105.00 per day
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Support Assistant to join our Specialist School in Reading from September 2026. The successful candidate will provide meaningful support to pupils with a variety of needs including ASD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
- Assisting pupils with their learning, communication, and social development
- Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Working closely with teachers and specialist staff to support individual learning plans
- Encouraging pupil independence and confidence throughout the school day
Qualifications
We look for candidates with experience in education, care, youth work, psychology, or support work. A genuine passion for helping children succeed is essential.
