We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Service Assistant to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. This vital role supports patient care by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at West Mendip Hospital.
This post is for 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, ward areas, offices, and public spaces.
- Supporting catering services, including meal preparation and delivery.
- Assisting with portering tasks such as transporting equipment, linen, and supplies.
- Maintaining stock levels and ensuring safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals (COSHH compliance).
- Participating in mandatory training (Fire Safety, Infection Control, Moving & Handling).
