Job Description:

Scotmas Group are seeking a Stores Person.

In this role, you will be responsible for stock control in our mechanical and electrical stores for our production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Picking and kitting components to support the production teams
  • Packing and preparing outgoing orders for despatch
  • Receiving incoming deliveries, checking against purchase orders and logging any discrepancies
  • Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift
  • Cycle counting and stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy
  • General housekeeping and organisation of the stores area

Experience

  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or logistics environment
  • Valid counterbalance forklift licence
  • Good attention to detail, particularly around stock accuracy and order packing
  • Comfortable working at pace in a physical role
  • A self‑starter who takes ownership of their area
  • Good communication skills and a team‑first attitude
  • Experience using a ERP or stock management system would be an advantage
  • Goods in / goods out in a manufacturing environment
