Overview

To support the bank’s decision-making processes by providing timely, accurate, and insightful information through designing, developing, and maintaining management reports, compelling visualisations and dashboards that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), data insights and trends across various business units.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive reports and dashboards using best practices in data visualisation principles and design aesthetics for clarity, accuracy, and accessibility.
  • Design, develop and implement automated report generation processes and visualisation methodologies to improve efficiency and timeliness.
  • Identify and analyse business requirements to define report content and format.
  • Maintain and update existing reports and dashboards to reflect changing business needs, including coordinating reporting template releases and related administrative tasks.
  • Develop robust processes and controls for collating input data, performing exploratory data analysis, data cleansing and seeking sign‑offs as required.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure up‑to‑date data is incorporated into reporting and visualisations.
  • Lead or support a team, guiding professional development, allocating work, coordinating resources and ensuring high standards.
  • Advise and influence decision‑making within own area of expertise, escalating breaches of policy/procedure appropriately.
  • Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls related to the work you own or contribute to.
  • Deliver work in line with relevant rules, regulation and codes of conduct and continually build an understanding of how the sub‑function integrates with the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development using PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into clear, accurate, and insightful reporting solutions.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including data cleansing, validation and attention to detail for ensuring data integrity.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Experience within financial services or banking environments, understanding of Business Banking, regulatory requirements, risk frameworks and money‑laundering red flags.
  • Experience implementing change, transformation and optimisation, including consideration of colleague impact and garnering stakeholder support.
  • Experience working across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology skills.

Location

This role can be based in Northampton or Glasgow.
