Responsibilities
- Hold a caseload of service users for up to 12 weeks (Liaison & Diversion) and up to 6 months (Reconnect) to support them accessing a range of agencies and services that can provide help and advice.
- Facilitate engagement with appropriate services by identifying unmet needs including mental health, learning disability, ASD, ADHD, housing, social isolation and exclusion, education, debt management, drug and alcohol, and employment problems.
- Support service users who are difficult to engage with, to access and utilise community services to meet identified health and social needs.
- Build professional and supportive relationships with family, police, court staff and other partner agencies.
- Work a flexible operating schedule: service operates in police custody 7 am–8 pm, seven days a week; in court 9 am–5 pm, five days a week; travel to sites across the Hampshire area.
- Work from community settings across Hampshire as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Lived experience of the criminal justice system, having been arrested and taken into police custody, and demonstrable recovery of at least 1 year no longer in contact with the criminal justice system.
- Direct lived experience of recovery from substance misuse, mental health or other vulnerabilities.
- Demonstrable recovery capital and period of desistance 1–3 years from misusing substance (including alcohol) and a minimum of one year completing any licence conditions or requirements.
- UK nationality or right to remain in the UK.
- Flexibility to travel to all sites across Thames Valley/Hampshire.
Working Pattern
Fixed‑term contract, 18 months, part‑time. Mondays to Thursdays 9 am to 5 pm. Flexibility with working patterns may be considered.

Salary
£25,760 to £27,476 per annum, pro rata.
