Contract type: Permanent – Fulltime term time only plus Inset days

Working hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week

Qualifications required: GCSE English and Maths

Salary: NJC Grade 3, Points 5-6 (Actual salary £22,006 – £22,355)

Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff who is committed to supporting young people as a Teaching Assistant, within our high achieving, vibrant, multi-cultural school for girls.

The successful candidate will provide support to pupils in small groups and in mainstream classes and have experience of working with pupils who have SEMH needs, both inside and outside of the classroom.

As well as providing support to the classroom teachers and collaborating in planning for learning, they will be responsible for planning and delivering bespoke interventions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in an educational setting desirable.
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patient, adaptable and proactive.
