Driver Hire Preston is currently recruiting for 8 HGV Class 2 Drivers to work with a range of well-established clients across the Preston and Lancashire area.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers seeking full-time temporary work with competitive pay, weekly wages, and ongoing opportunities. We welcome applications from professional drivers looking to develop their careers and gain access to additional qualifications and licence upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and in accordance with all road transport regulations.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
- Deliver goods to warehouses, distribution centres, and commercial business premises.
- Maintain regular communication with your line manager throughout the working day.
- Report any incidents, delays, vehicle defects, or operational issues promptly.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
- Adhere to Drivers’ Hours, Working Time Directive, and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service when making deliveries.
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations.
- Strong commitment to road safety and compliance.
- Reliable, professional, and punctual approach to work.
