Overview
As a RAF Mover, you will plan and execute the movement of RAF personnel and equipment by road, rail, air and sea.
Responsibilities
- Check in passengers and cargo for operations
- Operate forklifts and other vehicles to load freight for transport
- Drive and operate specialist aircraft handling equipment
Requirements
- Age 17 – 47 years old (must attest before 48th birthday)
- Meet specific nationality and residency criteria – see Entry Requirements for details
- Commit to a minimum of 3 years after specialist training
Training & Development
Phase 1 – Basic Recruit Training (10 weeks) at RAF Halton.Phase 2 – Specialist training (18 weeks) at RAF Brize Norton.Phase 3 – First tour at Movements Conversion Unit (ongoing, as assigned).Further training and career progression continue throughout service.
