Description
- Teach groups of primary‑age children in a fun, inspiring rock and pop band format in up to 10 schools per week.
- Introduce children to instruments – drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
- Work independently as part of a remote team of band leaders, supported by central teams.
- Act as a rock and pop star role model, empowering and supporting children to deliver live performances at end‑of‑term concerts.
- Help children develop self‑belief, resilience and wellbeing through performing in a band.
- Represent Rocksteady, building strong relationships with schools, teachers and parents.
- Be prepared for highly active days, travelling between schools and managing equipment.
Qualifications
- Competent on at least two of the following instruments: drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
- The enthusiasm to learn how to teach band lessons and complete the extensive training programme before starting.
- The resilience to work in a demanding role with highs and challenges in the same day.
- The confidence to be yourself at work, proud of your uniqueness and communicate well with children, teachers and parents.
- The integrity to promote the safety and well‑being of children and young people.
- Organised, independent, with good time‑management and administration skills.
- A UK/EU driving licence and own transport.
