Female Support Worker – Bethersden, Ashford

About The Role

We are looking for a female Support Worker to join our team in Bethersden, supporting one female who lives independently in her own home. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the person we support. You will be responsible for monitoring their needs, offering reassurance, and providing care and support as required. Maintaining a calm and supportive presence, you will help create a peaceful environment where individuals feel secure and respected. We will train you to provide personalised support and follow individual support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of the person you are supporting. You will be promoting independence and allowing the person to exert choice and control over the way their support is delivered. Due to the personal care needs of the person we support and the 1:1 support during the night, this position is only open to female applicants in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

Hours

We have one full time position available, with various shift patterns: 7.30am‑3.00pm, 3pm‑10pm, or long day 7.30am‑10.00pm.

Location

Bethersden, Ashford.

About You

The ideal candidate will be caring, attentive, and able to stay alert and responsive throughout the shift. While previous experience in a care or support role is an advantage, it is not essential as full training will be provided. More important is a genuine passion for supporting others, good communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Requirements

To keep the people we support safe, we follow safer recruitment steps. This includes DBS checks, reference checks and reviewing your work history. Choice Support is Disability Confident, a scheme run by the Department of Work and Pensions. As part of our commitment, we operate a guaranteed interview scheme – all candidates who declare a disability and meet the essential criteria for the role will be guaranteed an interview. If you consider yourself to have a disability or long‑term chronic health condition or if you require any adjustments/support during the application or selection process, please contact us so that we can discuss your needs with you.
