Overview
We’re looking for a General Cleaner with the practical skills and eye for detail to keep Antony House in excellent condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit.
Contract: Permanent
Hours/working pattern: Part-time, 390 hours per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
Antony is still a lived in family home, and is only open to the public from April to October each year. During this time, we’re mainly open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Bank Holidays, Sundays from the end of May to the end of August, and occasional other days. On these days we open to visitors from 12noon–5pm.
Generally, you will work 4 hours once a week on a Monday all year round. You will then work 2 hours each day ahead of Antony opening to ensure we are ready to welcome visitors between April and October. There is flexibility on whether this is completed the evening before, or the morning before Antony opens to visitors. There is also flexibility built in to allow additional cleans to happen ahead of opening at the start of the year, and during busy events.
Working location: This role is based at Antony House, located in Torpoint, Cornwall. Due to its location, you will likely need your own transport to get to Antony — although you can reach us on foot from Torpoint, and a bus stop is located around 10 minutes away.
For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a CV or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.
