Overview

The Woodlands Academy, part of Horizons Specialist Academy Trust, seeks a motivated Kitchen Assistant to support the catering department in providing high‑quality meals to pupils and staff. The role involves preparing, cooking, serving, and cleaning to maintain food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve food to pupils and staff according to menu plans and health & safety standards.
• Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleaning to maintain a tidy, safe environment.
• Collaborate with catering staff to ensure efficient service during school hours.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety procedures.

Requirements

• Experience in a kitchen or catering setting is desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety and health & safety practices.
