Your local British Red Cross shop offers a variety of essential volunteer activities. You can help with sorting stock, preparing donated items for sale, providing quality customer service, and supporting shop operations.
General Assistant Volunteer – Activities
- Check the quality of donated items and prepare them for sale or recycling.
- Iron, clean, label, and price items ready for sale.
- Maintain the shop’s organisation and tidiness.
- Assist with general shop duties.
No experience is required; full training will be provided. There is no expectation to use a till or computer in this role.
Volunteer Hours
You can volunteer a few hours a week, during the week or on weekends, as agreed with the shop manager. There is no minimum commitment or fixed hours; we simply need your agreement to the hours you can attend and to inform us of any changes.
