Job Overview
Nursery: Children 1st Newark Centre, Martin Foster House, Appletongate, Newark, NG24 1JY.
Hours: Casual, variable hours, Monday‑Friday, Full Time and Part Time.
Salary: £12.71–£13.30 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience.
Position Details
You’ll be providing cover for children as and when needed – during holidays, sickness or vacancy gaps. You may be called upon for full days, or morning or afternoon sessions. Your day will usually start with a fully formulated plan that may need to adapt to changing circumstances.
Key responsibilities include teaching young children and delivering arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise and educational games while maintaining focus on EYFS standards.
Purpose
To give children healthy foundations in fantastic settings, helping them build the confidence and resilience that will set them up for success later in life.
Responsibilities
Provide cover for children as and when required.
Deliver daily plans and activities, ensuring they are engaging and within EYFS.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 2 or above early years qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience as an Early Years Educator, Nursery Nurse or Practitioner, or working with children under the age of five.
- Knowledge of EYFS.
