Purpose: Deichmann are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Sales Assistant to join the team in our new Preston store.

Contract: Full time/Part time – 8 hour contracts available
Location: 25-27 Fishergate, Preston, PR1 3NN
Start date: Immediately
Salary: Up to £12.91 per hour + non contractual, hourly sales commission.
This is a part time, permanent position and you will be contracted to work 8 hours per week. Availability to attend interviews on the listed dates should be confirmed before applying.

Ideal candidate
If you have energy, drive and passion to work in a fast paced, customer facing, retail environment, this is the role for you. You will have a positive attitude towards providing exceptional customer service, the ability to work well within a team, the stamina to work on a fast-paced shop floor and the capacity to work calmly under pressure.
Key activities
- Approaching customers, providing helpful and knowledgeable information on our products.
- Serving customers at the till – processing sales transactions.
- Recommending and promoting complimentary products with each sale.
- Collaborating with your team to achieve store sales targets and KPI’s.
- Continuous stock replenishment to ensure the shelves are always full.
- Processing of stock deliveries in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that the shop floor is always kept clean & tidy, to a high standard.
- Any additional ad hoc duties, as and when required.

- Methodical approach to completing daily tasks.

- The commitment to work 8 hours per week and the flexibility to work any day (Monday – Sunday).
