They are currently seeking a high‑calibre Director of Commercial Finance to join their leadership team. This pivotal role will drive strategic growth, optimise financial performance, and lead a high‑performing finance function.
Description
The successful candidate will take full ownership of both strategic commercial finance and the maintenance of a robust financial control framework. In this multifaceted position, you will partner closely with the Chief Operating Officer to identify expansion opportunities and drive strategic financial planning. A key focus will involve delivering actionable insights to optimise revenue and margin performance, whilst evaluating investment proposals and commercial contracts. On the control side, you will oversee the accurate production of monthly management accounts, consolidation reporting to the parent company, and reporting packs. Furthermore, you will direct the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, business partnering directly with head office functions to guide their financial planning.
Skills
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with extensive post‑qualification experience. You must possess a proven track record in a senior financial leadership role that successfully blends sharp commercial acumen with technical accounting rigour. Crucially, you must have the ability to provide meaningful interpretation of financial information and assist the board in making strategic decisions at pace. Exceptional leadership capabilities and sound commercial judgement are essential, alongside a demonstrated ability to consistently meet strict deadlines in a fast‑moving environment. You must also display excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, bringing a positive, customer‑focused, and flexible approach to business partnering.
