Position Overview
As a Senior Probate Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in administering large and complex taxable testate and intestate estates. Your expertise will be invaluable in applying business property and agricultural property reliefs and calculating inheritance tax. You will also handle estate administrations for national charities and prepare wills and LPAs for elderly clients.
Responsibilities
- Administer complex taxable testate and intestate estates
- Calculate inheritance tax for estate administrations
- Manage estate administrations on behalf of national charities
- Prepare wills and lasting powers of attorney for elderly clients
- Supervise and mentor junior solicitors and paralegals
Requirements
- STEP membership or ATT/CTA qualification
- High level of technical expertise in probate and estate administration
- Thorough knowledge of lasting powers of attorney
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong teamwork and leadership abilities
- Proactive and organised approach to work
- Keen attention to detail and ability to make quick decisions
