Media Account Director – Job Description

About the Role
You will take ownership of the strategic development of clients’ media recommendations, based on an in‑depth understanding of their market, competitors and customers. This includes a deep knowledge of all media channels (including digital) and the ability to identify actionable insights that unlock brief success and create compelling multi‑channel media solutions that excite clients and drive awareness.
As Media Account Director, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of a number of clients, while managing and motivating a small team to deliver exceptional results, every time.
What You’ll Bring
- Experienced account lead, confident in handling day‑to‑day discussions and building successful relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Experience running international accounts and coordinating multiple market stakeholders
- Experience in media planning across a broad spectrum of categories, using media for brand activity, direct response or a mix of both
- Confident in making cross‑channel recommendations and understanding the interplay of multiple channels
- Leadership in owning a client brief and leading the strategic approach for media based on actionable insights
- Ability to discuss success metrics and recommend appropriate measurement
- Passion for media and awareness of latest developments and emerging opportunities within the media landscape
- Organised approach to managing timelines and internal/external stakeholders
- High standards for client‑facing documents (PPT decks, written documents, Excel schedules) with keen attention to detail
- Commercial acumen and confidence in discussing contractual terms with clients
- Ability to manage internal forecasting and oversee finance and billing processes
- Demonstrates a growth mindset, driving organic growth from existing clients or taking on new business challenges
- Collaborative and proactive, willing to support team initiatives
Please note this role requires one day per week (travel expended) in our London office.
