HSQE Advisor – Field Based (Nationwide)

Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience

Contract: Permanent

Location: Field-based (UK-wide travel required)

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive HSQE Advisor to join our growing team at Arcus. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of our Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) strategy across a diverse, multi-client environment.

You will report into and work closely with the HSQE Lead Business Partner and relevant operational teams, providing expert guidance, driving compliance, and helping embed a strong safety culture across our sites nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of HSQE policies, procedures and management systems
  • Provide expert advice on risk management, including RAMS, COSHH, PPE and safe systems of work
  • Undertake and review risk assessments ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements
  • Lead or support accident investigations and ensure effective root cause analysis
  • Conduct site visits, audits and engagement days to monitor compliance and drive improvements
  • Support mobilisation of new contracts and business initiatives
  • Assist with internal and external audits (ISO 45001, 14001, 9001)
  • Deliver or support HSQE training, including toolbox talks
  • Provide HSQE input into projects and ensure CDM 2015 compliance where applicable
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, clients and operational teams

About You

You’ll be a confident and approachable HSQE professional who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based role. You’ll be passionate about safety, continuous improvement, and making a real operational impact.

You’ll also have:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) – essential
  • IOSH Membership (desirable)
  • Experience in a multi-site or multi-client environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK HSQE legislation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to manage a varied workload and work independently
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Desirable:

  • Environmental or Fire Safety qualifications
  • Experience with ISO standards (45001, 14001, 9001)
