Warehouse Operator

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a leading global engineering and manufacturing organisation based in Portlethen.

Location: Portlethen, Aberdeenshire

Pay Rate: £12.71 – £14.10 per hour

Contract: Temporary (3 months initially, with potential for extension and/or permanent opportunity)

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispatch customer, third-party, and intercompany orders accurately and on schedule.
• Pack materials using appropriate methods to ensure products are protected during transit.
• Verify shipment contents against pick lists, delivery notes, and shipping documentation.
• Ensure all shipments are correctly labelled, packaged, and staged for collection
• Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation to support stock traceability.
• Assist with general warehouse activities across multiple departments when required.
• Participate in training to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and VNA trucks.
• Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures.
• Identify and report workplace hazards and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Participate in an on-call rota and work overtime when required to support operational demands

Skills & Experience:

• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Forklift Truck (FLT) licences are advantageous but not required.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Strong team player with the ability to support a variety of warehouse functions.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Commitment to maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards.
• Reliable, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
