Our client, a leading international consumer business with a portfolio of well-known and high-growth brands, is looking to appoint a Marketing Counsel to its global legal team.
Working closely with marketing, brand, digital, and commercial stakeholders, you will provide strategic and commercially focused legal support across a broad range of marketing, advertising, consumer law, and intellectual property matters. This role offers exposure to high-profile campaigns, product launches, influencer partnerships, and brand initiatives across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on advertising, marketing, consumer protection, and regulatory issues.
- Support IP matters, including trademarks, copyright, licensing, brand protection, and clearance.
- Review and negotiate marketing and commercial agreements, including agency, media, production, talent, and sponsorship contracts.
- Provide guidance on digital marketing, social media, e-commerce, promotions, packaging, and product claims.
- Partner with business teams to deliver practical legal solutions that support innovation and growth.
- Assist with brand enforcement and external counsel management where required.
About You
- Qualified lawyer with 5–8 years’ PQE.
- Strong experience in marketing, advertising, consumer law, and intellectual property.
- Background in private practice and/or in-house within a consumer-facing sector such as FMCG, retail, luxury, media, or technology.
- Proven ability to work closely with marketing and commercial teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercially minded, pragmatic, and confident managing a broad stakeholder group.
- Experience supporting international markets is advantageous.
