About the Rol

eWe are seeking an experienced Civil or Structural Engineer to join our team, specialising in the conservation, remediation and structural integrity of heritage and listed building facades across London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry facades, particularly Portland Stone and other traditional materials used in historic architecture

.Key Responsibiliti

• esConduct structural surveys and assessments of heritage and listed building facades, focusing on stone and masonry. Surveys will typically be undertaken from MEWPs and some will be overnigh
• t.Develop and deliver repair, strengthening, and conservation strategies in line with best practice and statutory requirement
• s.Prepare detailed technical survey reports, specifications, and sketches for remedial work
• s.Collaborate with clients, project managers, building surveyors, conservation officers, and contractors to ensure sensitive and compliant intervention
• s.Provide guidance on structural safety, and deterioration mechanisms of historic material
• s.Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards, Eurocodes, and heritage conservation guidelines where applicabl
• e.Assist in managing the projects, including site inspections and quality assuranc

e.Required Qualificati

• onsChartered Engineer (CEng) status with ICE or IStructE, or working towards chartership within 12 mont
• hs.Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng) from an accredited instituti
• on.Minimum 8- years’ experience in structural engineering, with experience of heritage and/or listed building facad
• es.Demonstrated knowledge of Portland Stone, natural stone masonry, and traditional facade construction techniqu
• es.Familiarity with UK Building Regulations, British Standards (BS 6399, BS 8110), Eurocodes, and heritage conservation guidelin
• es.Strong technical report writing and communication skil
• ls.Proficiency in appropriate software including Word, Excel and Bluebeam Re
