Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality backend solutions from concept to production.
- Build and enhance real-time, event-driven applications.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and global engineering teams.
- Break down complex projects, drive delivery, and mentor junior developers.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, design, and performance optimisation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and technical road map.
Tech Stack & Requirements
Core Skills
- 7+ years of experience in backend development.
- Strong expertise in Java (Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, RxJava).
- Experience building REST APIs & reactive Web services.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture.
Cloud & DevOps
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar).
Data & Messaging
- Experience with SQL and distributed data stores (Cassandra, Hazelcast).
- Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or Solace.
Additional Skills
- Experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and system design.
- Exposure to full-stack development (React, TypeScript) is a plus.
Domain Experience (Must have)
- Financial Markets or Investment Banking.
- Derivatives or e-trading platforms.
