Job Description:

Our client, a well-established and growing construction business, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional to take ownership of a range of projects, ensuring successful delivery from pre-construction through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project programmes, overseeing labour and subcontractors, maintaining financial performance, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction are achieved throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with operational, commercial, and site teams, you will play a key role in delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while contributing to the continued growth and success of the business. Key Responsibilities Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned construction projects. Manage project programmes, ensuring works are completed on schedule and in line with contractual requirements. Monitor project costs and financial performance, identifying and mitigating risks where necessary. Oversee direct labour, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure efficient project delivery. Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety, quality, and compliance across all projects. Lead by example, promoting a positive safety culture throughout the organisation. Liaise with clients, consultants, design teams, and key stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved. Chair project and design team meetings, ensuring information is communicated effectively and issued in a timely manner. Support, mentor, and develop site-based personnel and direct reports. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic planning discussions within the wider management team. Ensure projects are completed to the highest standards, achieving successful and defect-free handovers. Essential CSCS Manager’s Card SMSTS Certification Full UK Driving Licence First Aid at Work qualification (3-day course or equivalent) Risk Assessment & Method Statement experience Proven construction industry experience Previous experience in a Project Manager, Senior Site Manager, or similar leadership role Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practice Desirable Degree-qualified in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline NVQ/SVQ Level 5 Management qualification or above What’s on Offer?
