The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, hard‑working and have a willingness to learn.
A medical/care background is preferred but not essential as full training will be given; passion, commitment and thoughtfulness are just as important.
You will be supporting the employer at home in Southport, with shifts of 12 hours from 8 am to 8 pm, working 36–48 hours a week with the option of covering sick/holidays. The employer has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and lives at home with mother and siblings.
The right candidate needs to be attentive, flexible, calm, patient and understanding.
The responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care
- Assist with social leisure activities
- Support to remain independent
- Provide training
- Move & handle patients
- Hand hygiene
- Medical safe administration of medication
- Catheterisation
- PEG feeding
Shifts are 2:1 and shadow shifts and full training will be provided upon starting. Rotations are on a monthly rolling basis.
Salary: £15.00/hr for 3 months probation, rising to £16.00/hr upon completion of probation.
Driving licence is essential.
