Press Operator

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Press Operator role located in Darlington. The Press Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining press machinery to produce high-quality products according to specifications and production schedules. Key tasks include setting up equipment, performing quality checks, troubleshooting minor technical issues, and ensuring workplace safety standards are met. Collaboration with team members to achieve operational efficiency and meet deadlines is also a fundamental part of this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and maintaining press machines and other related equipment
• Understanding of quality control measures and ability to perform detailed inspections
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills for resolving minor mechanical issues
• Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment and adhering to safety protocols
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision during production
• Basic knowledge of material specifications and production processes
• Physical ability to handle repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy materials
• Previous experience as a Press Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred, but not mandatory
• Any related vocational or technical training certifications are advantageous
