Mechanical Fitter – Plymouth
We are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our client’s busy engineering team in Plymouth. The role involves assembling, installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, carrying out fault finding, and working from engineering drawings to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Key Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Previous Mechanical Fitter experience
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Information
- All employees are required to undergo drug and alcohol screening.
- This position operates on a shift pattern (5 on, 5 off, 4 on – 12 hour days).
- Salary is dependent on experience + 15% shift allowance.
- Due to the site location, candidates must have their own reliable transport.
