As a Savings Customer Ambassador at The Nottingham Building Society, you will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering an outstanding customer experience and supporting the Society’s growth and retention of savings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers to the branch, handling enquiries and supporting transactions using branch‑based systems while fostering a customer‑first culture.
  • Deliver outstanding service in every interaction, supporting the Society’s NPS and Trustpilot scores.
  • Contribute to the growth and retention of savings balances through account opening, maturity retention, and meaningful conversations.
  • Understand customers’ needs and identify opportunities to promote relevant services that align with home‑ownership and financial goals.
  • Be a proactive force for good at the heart of your local community, achieving the network goal.
  • Embrace the digital journey, supporting customers with technology and digital services to enhance their experience.
  • Continuously learn and develop yourself to support your ongoing career growth.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both face‑to‑face and written, and effective over phone/email.
  • Highly self‑motivated and proactive in approach.
  • Digitally confident, open to new ways of working, and change resilient.
  • High empathy with a strong desire to do the right thing for colleagues, customers, and the community.
  • Positive, proactive attitude; financial services experience is not required.
  • Training will be provided for all new employees.
