PDI / Preparation Technician – Barretts Group, Canterbury
We are looking to recruit a PDI/Preparation Technician to join our PDI Centre in Hersden, Canterbury. You will be joining a dedicated facility which is responsible for preparing new & used vehicles for our BMW, MINI, Honda & JLR Brands but also supporting all our 5 busy main dealerships.
This role will include fitting accessories, such as tow bars, mud flaps & side steps, additionally carrying out servicing & repair works according to manufacturer’s specification.
Responsibilities:
- Fit accessories, tow bars, mud flaps, side steps.
- Carry out servicing and repair works according to manufacturer’s specification.
- Work methodically, efficiently, with customer satisfaction as a top priority.
Qualifications:
- Hold a full UK driving licence for both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Level 2 IMI/NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
- 1 year’s mechanical experience in full-time employment.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems and functionalities.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 17:00. 42.5 hours per week, with expected overtime in busy periods which can include weekends.
Salary: £32,000.
