Workshop Coordinator, £30,000 to £35,000, Milton Keynes

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Coordinator to join a growing and ambitious commercial vehicle sales, service, and repair business in Milton Keynes.

This newly created role offers the chance to become a key part of a busy, customer-focused workshop operation. You will play an important role in coordinating daily workshop activities, supporting technicians, managing schedules, and ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained.

The Workshop Coordinator Role

As Workshop Coordinator, you will support the smooth running of the workshop and help ensure operations remain efficient, organised, and customer focused.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating daily workshop operations and supporting the workshop team.
  • Scheduling workshop jobs for internal and external customers.
  • Preparing customer quotations and processing invoices.
  • Liaising directly with customers to provide updates, resolve queries, and deliver excellent service.
  • Managing workshop equipment, tools, and maintenance schedules.
  • Monitoring stock levels for workshop tools, parts, and consumables.
  • Supporting operational efficiency and helping maintain a productive workshop environment.

Your Background

We are looking for a proactive, organised, and customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment.

Suitable backgrounds may include:

  • Workshop Coordinator.
  • Service Coordinator.
  • Service Administrator.
  • Operations Coordinator.
  • Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Scheduling / Planning Coordinator.
  • Automotive or Commercial Vehicle Administration.
  • Workshop Administration / Workshop Support.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a coordination, scheduling, administration, or operations support role.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A customer-focused approach with excellent relationship management skills.
  • Good administrative, quoting, scheduling, and invoicing experience.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within automotive, commercial vehicle, engineering, transport, maintenance, logistics, or technical service sectors would be advantageous but not essential.
