Working within a small team for an Engineering company you will have (and share) responsibility for managing, organising, and maintaining stock in an Engineering Goods In/Out stores. Duties will include: ensuring goods are received accurately, booked‑in/out, stored safely, and dispatched efficiently to departments, production lines, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving & Dispatching
- Unloading deliveries
- Inspecting goods for damage
- Verifying that incoming/outgoing items match purchase orders
- Inventory Control: Updating computerized inventory management systems
- Conducting regular stock checks/audits
- Monitoring stock thresholds to prevent shortages.
- Picking & Kitting for the Manufacturing department
- Preparing and packing goods for despatch
Essential Requirements & Skills
- Forklift Certification: A counterbalance or reach truck license is essential.
- Experience using computerised warehouse/inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail to prevent discrepancies
Permanent Position via a 3 month temp-to-perm with the recruiting agency.
Salary circa £26,500
39 hours per week
