Plant Maintenance Mechanic

Job Specification

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately record all work carried out on an item‑by‑item basis, ensuring all relevant data is captured.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of routine consumables.
• Prepare vehicles (passenger, LGV, and HGV) for Ministry of Transport (MOT) testing.
• Attend sites as required to diagnose and, where possible, repair faulty or broken‑down plant and vehicles.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including COSHH, Safe Working Procedures (SWPs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).
• Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by senior management.

Equipment Worked On

Includes, but is not limited to:

• Overhead gantry cranes
• Combilifts and side loaders
• Telehandlers
• Access platforms and scissor lifts (e.g. Genie, Manitou)
• Mobile cranes
• HGV tractor units and articulated trailers (including trombone and rear‑steer units)
• LGVs and panel vans
• Passenger vehicles and pick‑up trucks

Additional Information

• All tools, equipment, and PPE are provided.

Location

• Norfolk (NR9 4LS)
• Occasional site visits required, primarily across East Anglia
