Print & Production Technician (Large Format Graphics) – Northampton | Full‑Time | £30,000 – £35,000 (DOE)

A specialist graphics company based in Northampton is seeking a skilled and motivated Print & Production Technician to join its growing team. The business operates to exceptional standards across design, print and installation, in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment focused on delivering world‑class results.

The Role

This hands‑on position combines large format print production with occasional installation work.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality cut vinyl graphics
• Operate HP & Epson large‑format printers (roll‑to‑roll)
• Use vinyl plotters and flatbed cutting systems
• Laminate prints using roll‑to‑roll laminators
• Prepare and set up artwork for production
• Maintain strict quality standards and meet deadlines
• Assist with vinyl installation and application when required

Essential Skills & Experience

• 2‑3 years’ experience in the sign & graphics industry
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
• Experience with ONYX RIP software
• Skilled in operating large‑format print equipment (HP, Epson or similar)
• Strong attention to detail
• Well organised and capable of working independently
• Able to perform in a fast‑paced production environment

Desirable Skills

• Vinyl installation / vehicle wrapping experience
• Colour management and profiling knowledge
• Familiarity with materials such as 3M and Avery
• Understanding of large format file setup (bleed, scaling, resolution)
• Interest in motorsport or automotive sectors
