GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated and knowledgeable MFL German Teachers to work in schools across Dartford.
As a Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Teacher, you’ll be teaching German to students across key stages 3, 4 and 5, helping them develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while fostering a genuine interest in language learning. The successful candidate will create an engaging and supportive classroom environment where students can thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging German lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Support students according to the curriculum and syllabus
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress and attainment
- Develop students confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding German
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and assessments
- Encourage students to develop an appreciation of German language and culture
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school staff
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in German, Modern Foreign Languages, Education, or a related field
- Experience teaching German within a school setting is desirable
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Passion for language education and student achievement
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
