We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our Paediatric Diabetes Team, supporting children and young people across hospital and community settings. You will play a key role in delivering specialist care, helping families implement and manage diabetes technology, and providing hands‑on support in clinics, schools, and homes.
Responsibilities
- The post holder will work closely with children and young people, helping them actively engage with their diabetes care across hospital and community settings.
- Assist with downloading insulin pumps and other diabetes technology, providing timely feedback on any issues or concerns to support effective care and decision-making.
- Identify families from low income areas not currently on CGM or pump technology and work with the CYA and their families to find creative solutions to remove barriers.
- Support emotional and social development through therapeutic activities.
- Help set up drop‑in clinics and troubleshoot technology issues.
- Work across professional boundaries to educate and empower families throughout their diabetes journey.
Qualifications
- Strong IT skills and experience in paediatric care are essential.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in languages spoken within the local community.
- Ability to communicate effectively, exercise sound judgement, and work across professional boundaries.
