Manager of Mental Health & Addiction Services
Contract: Permanent
Hours Available: 30 hours
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for delivering high-quality, recovery-focused services? We’re looking for a Manager of Mental Health & Addiction Services to lead Floating Support and Community Wellbeing services, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred support for the people we serve.
Working closely with the Assistant Director, you will provide strong operational leadership across a range of services -supporting teams, driving performance, and ensuring consistently high standards of care and compliance. This is a key role where you will shape service delivery, influence strategic direction, and build meaningful partnerships to improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
?? What You’ll Bring
To be shortlisted, you’ll need:
? To be flexible as the role will involve working on a rota/shift basis. Day, evening, weekend work and on call to meet the needs of the service? Possess a full current driving licence and access to a car. Business insurance will be a requirement for this post? Professional qualification for example:
- Professional Social Work qualification and registered on the appropriate part of the NISCC register without condition
- OR A first level registered nurse on the appropriate part of the Nursing and Midwifery Council register
- OR Allied health professional; e.g. qualified OT registered with BAOT/RCOT
AND A minimum of 4 years’ experience of working in a health care setting with demonstrated experience of managing a range of complex mental health needs of service users. At least 2 years of this experience must be in a relevant operational management capacity, which must include the supervision of staff/volunteers and financial management including budgetary responsibility
OR
? A QCF level 5 diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults Management) and be registered or eligible for registration on appointment on the NISCC register without condition
AND a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a health and social care setting with demonstrated experience of managing a range of complex mental health needs of service users. This must include at least 2 years relevant experience in an operational management capacity in a health and social care setting to include supervision of staff/volunteers and financial management including budgetary responsibility
? Experience of Budget / Financial / Contract Management? Experience of using IT packages and systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Client Management

In this role, you will:
? Lead and manage Mental Health & Addiction Services, ensuring high-quality, recovery-oriented support across your services? Work in partnership with the Assistant Director to deliver strategic and operational priorities? Oversee day-to-day service delivery, ensuring safe, effective and efficient operations? Monitor performance, outcomes and quality standards, driving continuous improvement? Build strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the people we support? Support service development, identifying opportunities to expand and enhance provision? Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance and safeguarding requirements? Lead, support and develop staff, promoting a positive and high-performing culture? Manage budgets and resources effectively within your services? Participate in on-call arrangements and respond flexibly to operational requirements

?? Salary: £29,593.20 – £34,803.60
