Job Summary
We are seeking a high-calibre, consultative Sales Manager to join a fast-growing renewable energy business in Cambridge. This is a premium, customer-focused role that combines sales expertise with technical understanding, including on-site surveying and the design of bespoke smart energy solutions across solar PV, battery storage, backup systems, and EV charging infrastructure.
In this role, you will work directly with homeowners to deliver tailored energy solutions that reduce energy costs, improve efficiency, and increase property value. Every project begins with a detailed on-site assessment to ensure precise system design, full compliance, and an exceptional customer experience from first consultation through to installation completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with pre-qualified homeowners across the UK, delivering consultative sales support and tailored smart energy solutions, including solar PV, battery storage, backup systems, EV charging, and energy management systems.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial consultation through to close, building trusted relationships through a credible, solutions-led and technically informed approach.
- Convert high-quality inbound leads while actively developing local referral networks to generate additional business opportunities.
- Conduct detailed on-site technical surveys, assessing roof suitability, electrical infrastructure, battery and inverter placement, EV charging requirements, and grid connection considerations.
- Accurately capture and document site data, producing clear and comprehensive survey reports for collaboration with design and installation teams.
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining strong pipeline visibility and control.
- Deliver an outstanding end-to-end customer experience that drives referrals, repeat business, and long-term customer satisfaction.
- Continuously develop technical expertise across a range of smart energy technologies to remain a trusted advisor to customers.
