Personal Injury Paralegal

Salary: From £27,000 + dependent on experience

Experience: 1-2 Years’ Personal Injury Experience

We are a highly regarded Legal 500 firm with an established reputation for delivering exceptional client service and achieving outstanding results. Due to continued growth and expansion within our Personal Injury department, we are seeking an ambitious and motivated Personal Injury Paralegal to join our successful team.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a close-knit team comprising three experienced fee earners and dedicated support staff, where you will play a key role in supporting the department’s ongoing growth.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of approximately 80-90 claimant personal injury files while providing support to the wider team. The caseload will primarily consist of:

  • 40% Employers’ Liability (EL), Occupiers’ Liability (OL) and Road Traffic Accident (RTA) matters
  • 60% Portal/MOJ claims valued up to £25,000

You will be responsible for progressing claims from instruction through to settlement, ensuring excellent client care and efficient case management throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of claimant personal injury matters
  • Handling MOJ Portal claims valued up to £25,000
  • Progressing EL, OL and RTA claims efficiently and proactively
  • Liaising with clients, insurers, medical experts and third parties
  • Drafting correspondence and legal documentation
  • Reviewing medical evidence and calculating quantum
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant procedural rules and firm processes
  • Maintaining high standards of client care and communication

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 1-2 years’ experience handling claimant personal injury matters
  • Previous experience managing MOJ Portal claims
  • Exposure to EL, OL and RTA claims
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and client care abilities
  • The ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach
