Ground Segment Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Ground Segment Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and maintenance of mission-critical ground systems used in space operations. This role will work closely with systems engineering, software development, and mission operations teams to deliver reliable ground segment capabilities throughout the mission lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ground segment systems, including mission control, mission planning, and ground station interfaces.
  • Define and manage system requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support Agile development activities and project delivery.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, including requirements, test plans, and reports.
  • Perform system integration, verification, validation, and testing activities.
  • Provide technical support and training to operations teams.
  • Support operational systems and assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in ground segment engineering or a similar role.
  • Understanding of ground segment architecture and systems engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft mission development processes.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent English.

Desirable

  • Experience with mission control, mission planning, or automation systems.
  • Knowledge of ground station communications.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with C++, Java, Linux, and scripting.
