Automation Test Engineer (Contract)

Location: Stafford, UK (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Contract: 6 Months

Education: Electrical Engineering Background Required

Experience: 10+ Years

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join a Validation & Verification team working on advanced power systems and HVDC technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop test automation frameworks
• Create and maintain automated test scripts
• Execute automated tests using PSCAD and MATLAB
• Analyze and report test failures
• Enhance in-house automation tools
• Drive test automation and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in automation testing and test frameworks
• Electrical Engineering background with knowledge of power systems/power electronics
• Strong Python programming skills
• Embedded systems testing experience
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
